Man seriously wounded in Nipawin shooting

RCMP in Nipawin are looking for two men suspected of shooting another man early Monday morning.

Officers first learned of the shooting about 3 a.m. and found the victim who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The victim was walking between Second and Third Avenues and near Third Street West when he was approached by two men.

An altercation took place before the man was shot.

Both suspects are described as having a slim build and wearing all black.

Police would like residents who may have captured video surveillance in the area to contact them.

The investigation continues. If investigators determine an imminent risk to public safety exists, RCMP will notify the public.
