Fire damages P.A.’s Killarney Kastle; closed until further notice

A fire has forced a popular Prince Albert establishment to close during the busy Christmas season.

Last week, firefighters were called to the 500 block of 19^th Street East for reports of a structure fire. The structure was the Killarney Kastle, a historical building that houses a restaurant and catering company.

When they arrived, crews discovered a fire in a bathroom which extended into the attic. Although the main fire was quickly extinguished, firefighters remained at the site for several hours putting out the rest of the blaze.

Thankfully, all people inside the building were evacuated safely and no one was injured.

In a post on its Facebook page, Killarney Kastle said the establishment will be closed until further notice and that anyone who has made a reservation or booked catering is asked to contact them.
