Multiple vehicle collisions causing injuries highlight busy weekend for Parkland Ambulance
It was a busy weekend for Parkland Ambulance.
Paramedics were called out 140 times which included separate vehicle collisions that resulted in multiple injuries.
The first happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday on Highway 2 near the Red Wing turn-off. Five people were treated for injuries with three, a 12-year-old girl, a 19-year-old woman, and a 19-year-old man, being taken to hospital for further treatment. Parkland Ambulance said each was in good and stable condition.
The second collision happened before 1 a.m. on Sunday near the Cooke Municipal Golf Course. Four people were injured with each having to be transferred to the hospital. A 23-year-old man was seriously injured. Prince Albert police have stated that five people were actually sent to hospital with the man who was seriously injured being 22-years-old.
