The Prince Albert Raiders suffered their first regulation loss in over two weeks on Saturday night at the hands of the Moose Jaw Warriors at the Art Hauser Centre.

Warriors forward Jagger Firkus scored a hat trick while fellow NHL draft pick Brayden Yager also scored to lead Moose Jaw to a 4-1 victory.

The Raiders had been unbeaten in regulation over the last six games.

It was the third meeting of the year between the two division rivals. The Raiders had won the previous two meetings.

Forward Cole Peardon scored the lone Raider goal.

With the win the Warriors improved to 7-5 on the season while the Raiders dropped to 7-4-0-1.

The setback concluded a busy weekend for the Raiders, with a Bruce Vance tribute on Friday and Parent’s Night on Saturday. The team will now enjoy a few days off before travelling to Swift Current on Wednesday to play the Broncos for the first time this season.
