A woman who was charged after an attempted armed robbery at a Prince Albert business has been granted bail.

Brittany McKay was one of two people arrested. The 29-year-old appeared Wednesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

In the early evening hours of Sept. 14, police received a weapons complaint and responded to the 3500 Block of Second Ave W.

When they got to the business, they found one woman with a gun had been detained by witnesses. A second suspect fled on foot.

McKay was later charged with robbery with a gun, wearing a facemask while committing an indictable offence, breach of court order conditions and several other gun charges. She is scheduled to make her next court appearance on Oct. 25.

The second suspect, Nap McCallum, was arrested the following week and has been charged with multiple robberies in the Prince Albert and La Ronge areas.

He was last in court on Oct. 10 and has been remanded to Oct. 19.
