Prince Albert Police investigating fourth homicide of 2023

Prince Albert Police are investigating the city’s fourth homicide of the year after an incident in the Midtown area.

On Friday afternoon, at around 5:15, police were called to a residence in the 300 Block of 13th Street East for a weapons complaint.

Upon arrival, officers found a 27-year-old woman suffering from serious injuries. She was transported to Victoria Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

A second victim, a 31-year-old woman, was driven to hospital by an acquaintance and was also suffering from serious injuries stemming from the same incident. She remains in hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Police are asking anybody who has information about the incident or who may have observed or heard anything suspicious in the 300 Block in the alley between 13th Street and 12th Street East, between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. on Friday to contact police at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers.
