Bench warrant issued for accused in drug bust

A provincial court judge in Prince Albert has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of 21-year-old Eric Sanche, one of two people accused of dealing cocaine following a drug bust in February.

Sanche was arrested and charged along with 40-year-old Erica Morin on February 3 after Prince Albert Police searched a home on the 500 block of Sixth Street East.

There officers found a sawed-off .22 rifle, ammunition, 831 grams of cocaine and over $8,500 in cash.

The value of the cocaine was estimated at about $66,000.

Sanche and Morin are both charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Morin’s next court date is August 16. The next date for Sanche has not been set until he is found and arrested.
