Mason Hawkes was perfect in the crease for the Predators on Saturday night, helping Prince Albert cruise past the Regina Barracudas 15-0 in Moose Jaw.

The dominant performance on the floor moves the Predators into the PGLL Championship contest on Sunday night.

Hawkes managed 27 saves in the win, the first shutout of his PGLL career. The netminder also tallied an assist when he helped out on Talon Sandry’s late second period marker. Sandry finished the game with two goals and three assists.

Caidyn Prediger, Matthew Cudmore, and Brayden Rieger each registered eight points against Regina, with Prediger scoring four goals and assists, Cudmore tallying three goals and five assists, and Rieger scoring a pair of goals while adding half a dozen assists.

Close behind them was Braden Shewchuk with seven points (3g, 4a) and rounding out the scoring for Prince Albert was Hayden Ulriksen who put up one goal and three helpers.

The Predators now gear up for a quick turnaround as PA will square off with the Swift Current Wolverines for the PGLL Championship. The Wolverines also had their semifinal matchup Saturday night where Swift Current downed the Moose Jaw Mustangs 16-4 to advance to the finals.

The leagues two best teams will go head to head and battle it out for the championship at 6:30 at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw.
