Wanted Montreal Lake man arrested while biking in Saskatoon

A 53-year-old man from Montreal Lake, who was wanted for breaching his release conditions, was arrested while riding a bicycle in Saskatoon.

The RCMP Warrant Enforcement Team (WEST) had been looking for Eugene Bird since last December, and gathered information on areas he was known to frequent.

By working with Saskatoon Police, they also found out he had possible ties to Saskatoon’s downtown area.

Yesterday, they were told that someone had seen him there and when they found him, he was riding a bicycle on 20^th Street.

Bird is now back in federal custody.
