The Prince Albert Predators chalked up another tally in the win column Thursday night, defeating the Saskatoon Jr. Swat 13-5 on the road.

The win comes nearly two weeks after their last contest, resulting in a dominant 15-4 victory over Moose Jaw.

Nick Mckee and Caidyn Prediger led the Preds on the scoresheet, both scoring five points with Mckee netting four goals and a helper while Prediger scored twice and added three assists. Hayden Ulriksen (2g, 2a) and Braden Shewchuk (1g, 3a) each had four points, Brayden Rieger (3g), Talon Sandry (1g, 2a), and Matthew Cudmore (3a) all had three points, and Mason Hawkes, Davin Ikert, Aidan Horn, and Waylon Altstadt each had one assist.

For the Swat, Chase Foord and Carson Welsh both had a goal and two assists while Braxton Ernst, Ryan Valentino, and Hunter Mayers all lit the lamp once. Nate Gallant had a pair of helpers and Henry Elliott had one.

COMPLETE BOX SCORE

Things started off hot for P.A. after they led by two after the opening frame.

Mckee opened the scoring midway through the frame before Welsh answered for Saskatoon 40 seconds later to knot it back up at one. Later in the period, the Preds went back-to-back with Prediger and Ulriksen scoring seconds apart to quickly give P.A. a 3-1 lead. The Swat continued to claw in the first scoring again before Rieger got his first of many just before the buzzer.

Saskatoon came out of the blocks hot in the middle period, scoring twice to pull the Swat back even. Their offense was eventually diffused midway through as the Predators added a pair of their own with Mckee and Ulriksen exchanging markers. The clubs would score once more each towards the end of the frame, giving P.A. an 7-5 lead going into the third.

The final period was all Blue and Gold as the Predators managed to hold Saskatoon off the scoreboard while scoring six unanswered goals. Rieger and Mckee both had two in the frame while Sandry and Shewchuk added one of their own as Prince Albert takes down the Swat 13-5.

The Preds are back at home for their next contest, welcoming the Swift Current Wolverines to Kinsmen Arena on June 3. Opening faceoff is set for 7:30pm.
