June inquest set for Jordan Norfield death

A discretionary inquest into the death of 30-year-old Jordan Norfield in 2020 has been scheduled for late June.

Norfield was taken into custody on December 1 of that year on an order under the Public Health Act.

Officers took him to the Victoria Hospital the following morning for assessment and treatment but he died on December 5.

An autopsy was done on December 9.

The inquest is scheduled for June 26 to 30. While no detail as to location has yet been released, Prince Albert inquests generally always happen at the Coronet Hotel.
