Sharks Retain Top Small Club Provincial Swim Title

Twelve swimmers from Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club went to the Junior provincial swimming in Moose Jaw last weekend with a lot of ambition and returned with a lot of success.

The Sharks retained the Top Small Club award (15 swimmers or less entered) for the four-day meet collecting 19 medals in total. It is a continuation of the club’s Man- Sask Swimming Championship 10 days earlier where swimmers collected 15 medals.

Swim Sask recognized two Sharks for their improvements.

Myla M. was second and Anastazja S. was third in the 13 and over girls’ age group Top 3 Improvement Point standings.

Results for the Sharks were as follows:

• Girls 4X50 Free Relay 11-12: gold.

• Girls Free Relay 13 & over: silver.

• Girls Medley Relay 13 & over: bronze.

• Girls Free Relay 11-12: silver.

• Mixed 4X50 Relay 12-13: bronze.

• Zoe: Silver in 400 free, 200 back, 50 back; Bronze in 100 free, 100 back and 50 Free.

• Clara: Gold in 200 fly and 200 free, Silver in 100 free.

• Myla: Gold in 400 free, Silver in 50 back and third in 400 IM.

• Jaxen: Bronze in 200 IM, fourth in 50 Fly and 50 breast.

• Sophia: fifth place in 50 breast, Gold place in the 4×50 free relay and Silver in 4×50 Medley relay race.

• Natasha: fifth in 50 back, Silver in 4×50 free relay race and Bronze in 4×50 Medley relay race.

• Abby: Silver in 4×50 free relay race and Bronze in 4×50 Medley relay race.

• Brooklyn: Gold in 11-12 girls 4×50 free relay race, Silver in 4×50 medley relay, Bronze in 12-13 mixed 4×50 relay.

• Maia: Gold in11-12 girls 4×50 free relay race, Silver in 4×50 medley relay, Ana: Bronze in 12-13 mixed 4×50 relay and best personal times.

Jackson: Bronze in 12-13 mixed 4×50 relay and fourth in 50 free.

Grace: best personal times.

The results shown remarkable progress for Sharks swimmers during 2022/2023 training season.
