Local volleyball team smashes the competition at provincials

A Prince Albert Volleyball team can now call themselves the best in the province after winning the Sask Cup2.

The U16 Smashing Bananas beat the host Yorkton Bongos at the event, after claiming the third and deciding game 15-7.

The Bananas won the first game in the set 25-17 but fell in the second game 25-19.

The Smashing Bananas beat Rouleau and Regina Volleyball Club (RVC) en route to the final match.

Meanwhile, the Warman CVVC Stingers took bronze after a 25-17, 25-20 win over the RVC Green 16U.
