Ozar and the Pioneers go for two in a row in men’s college hockey
A Prince Albert hockey player is looking to make it two in a row as his University takes the ice in this year’s Frozen Four in Tampa Bay.
Owen Ozar and the University of Denver won the national tournament last year and are looking to do it again as they’re the fourth seed in the event. The Pioneers will take on Cornell University Thursday afternoon at 3:30 CST.
In 26 games played this season, Ozar has one goal and five assists with 10 penalty minutes and a plus-three rating.
Ozar won’t be the only Saskatchewan player in this tournament this year. Lloydminster Daniel Hilsendager plays with Western Michigan and takes on Boston University in its first-round game. The winner of that game plays either Denver or Cornell.
