Prince Albert’s Owen Ozar and his University of Denver Pioneers won the NCAA men’s hockey championship on Saturday night, beating the Minnesota State Mavericks 5-1 in Boston, Mass. It’s the Pioneers’ ninth national title in school history.

The Pioneers were down 1-0 six minutes into the game and didn’t tie the game until the 55-minute mark. The Pioneers then completely took the third period over and exploded for four more goals to take the championship.

To get to the finals, the Pioneers defeated the Michigan State Wolverines 3-2 in overtime in the semifinals, before advancing to Saturday’s finals.
