A Canadian rock legend is coming to Prince Albert this summer.

On Monday morning, the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts announced that Burton Cummings and his band Unplugged will bring their tour to P.A. on June 18.

Cummings is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Canadian Walk of Fame, Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame, Prairie Music Hall of Fame and a six-time Juno Award winner.

He has also received the Order of Canada, the Order of Manitoba, and the Governor-General’s Performance Arts Award.

Cummings is best known for leading the iconic Canadian band, The Guess Who from 1965 to 1975.

“Few artists have achieved the level of public success and critical acclaim that Burton Cummings enjoys in a dazzling career spanning more than forty years,” the Rawlinson Centre said in a release.

“Burton possesses an extraordinary gift for entertaining. He is second to none in delighting audiences numbering from 10 to 10,000.”

Tickets go on sale for the show starting Wednesday at 10 a.m.
