Police charge man with mail theft, almost 30 pieces of mail recovered

A 35-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into several reports of mail theft.

Last Friday, Prince Albert Police said they arrested Jarret Sauve outside a home near 6th Street East and 3rd Ave.

Officers eventually found 26 different pieces of mail belonging to residents and businesses. The mail was addressed to several areas of the city that coincided with earlier reports of damaged mailboxes.

Sauve has since been charged with possession of stolen mail, possession of break-in tools, and possession of a controlled substance.
