Gold and silver for PA Soccer teams at provincials

The best young soccer players in the city came out strong with gold and two silvers at the recent 6v6 provincials.

The U19 Celtic boys’ team took home the provincial title, while the U17 and 15 girls won the silver medals.

For technical director of the Prince Albert Youth Soccer Association (PAYSA), Dragan Ivkovic, it showed the organization is still growing strong.

“We’re excited and happy,” he said. “It shows that you’re on the right track and doing everything we possibly can to provide these kids enough opportunities and good training in the association.”

He added that winning three medals for a community the size of Prince Albert is great.

The competitions don’t end there as the 9v9 provincials take place this coming weekend, with PAYSA sending two teams to the tournament.
