The Prince Albert Police Service has confirmed a man reported missing weeks ago has been found deceased.

Dwight Whitehead was found late Monday morning in a wooded area, near the 1000 Block of 18th St. W. Police and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service are investigating.

The 32-year-old was previously reported missing to the Prince Albert Police Service on Jan. 8, and was last seen just after 6 p.m. on Jan. 2. Police confirmed they do not consider the death suspicious.

Following his disappearance from Victoria Hospital, family members launched a ground search for him.

Younger brother Craig told paNOW the last time he spoke with Dwight, he talked about suicide which had him worried.

Craig also disclosed his brother had medication he had not been taking and in the surveillance photos from the hospital, was not dressed for winter weather.

Both Prince Albert Grand Council Search and Rescue and the Prince Albert Fire Department assisted with the investigation.
