Donation has personal resonance for local business owner
A decision to support Hope’s Home via a donation to a local mountain climber’s fundraiser has a very personal connection for Shelly Gordon of 6th Avenue Car Wash & Auto Glass.
Gordon’s niece lived at Hope’s Home for part of her 15 years of life.
“Hope’s Home is one that was near and dear to my heart,” said Gordon. “My niece was lucky to be a resident in Saskatoon.”
That personal connection along with knowing Bernadette Lavoie and her plan to climb Mount Kilimanjaro made it easy for Gordon when she was looking to give some of the money she raises through her business.
