Wheaties ride second period outburst to edge Raiders
BRANDON, MB – The Brandon Wheat Kings barely squeaked by the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday night, winning 5-4 at Westoba Place.
Brandon can thank their second period efforts for the win where they scored three goals thanks to the works of Nate Danielson, Brett Hyland, and Rylen Roersma. Tagging along was Luke Shipley and Zakhar Polshako who added markers of their own in the first period. Nolan Ritchie, Calder Anderson, Quinn Mantei, and Anthony Wilson were the assist getters for Brandon in the game.
Hayden Pakkala, Harrison Lodewyk, Ryder Ritchie, and Keaton Sorensen each lit the lamp for the Raiders in the game while Sorensen, Niall Crocker, Owen Boucher, and Carson Latimer each potted assists.
Tikhon Chaika made 22 save in the loss where PA now falls to 10-14-2-0 on the campaign.
