Bears, Hounds split weekend set

PRINCE ALBERT, SK – The Prince Albert Northern Bears split their weekend slate against the Notre Dame Hounds, falling 3-2 on Friday and then toppling the Hounds 4-2 on Saturday.

Across both games this weekend, Julia Cey came away with three goals against Notre Dame scoring once in Friday’s contest and twice more on Saturday. Sasha Malenfant also potted three points by scoring once and adding two helpers. Elizabeth Udell and Claudia Lammers each had two points while Kassie Ferster, Jazlyn Petreman, Kaebree Young, Jasmine Kohl, and Tristyn Endicott each had one.

For the Hounds, Julianna Herman led the scoresheet where she managed three goals and an assist. Kyra Anderson potted two points while Spring Mosset, Eden Carius, Felicia An, Virginia Harazny, and Kate Williams each had one.

Brooke Archer was between the pipes for the black and orange for both games this weekend where she made a combined 52 saves as the Bears now sit with a 3-12-0-0 record.

Schay Camphaug and Mackenzie Bloom combined for 39 stops in both games where the Hounds sit with a record of 10-2-0-0.

The Northern Bears are back on the road for their next contest where they’ll meet the Gold Wings in Weyburn on Dec. 3.
