Team Quebec is the last one standing in Prince Albert.

The mixed curling team from the Glenmore Curling Club in Dollard-des-Ormeaux has won it all at the 2022 Canadian Mixed Curling Championships in Prince Albert, defeating Team Northern Ontario 10-3 in the final draw.

The Quebecers had a near-flawless tournament, finishing the tournament with an overall 10-2 record. Their only losses came at the hands of Team Yukon (8-0) and Team Nova Scotia (5-4).

This is the curling club’s first National Mixed Curling title in recent memory. It’s also the first National Mixed title for the team, which consists of Emily Riley (Lead), Emile Asselin (Second), Laurie St-Georges (Third), Felix Asselin (Fourth), and Michel St-Georges (Coach).

This is the third year in a row that a team from Quebec has won the mixed curling championships. In 2020, it would be a combination of both the Curling des Collines from Chelsea and the Club Curling Etchemin from Lévis who took home the gold on home ice. Then last year, the same two curling clubs would combine again and go back-to-back in Canmore, AB to claim gold again.

This was the first time that Prince Albert hosted the championship with games being played at the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Centre. The tournament is set to return to Saskatchewan next year where Swift Current will host the Championship at InnovationPlex.
