‘Every dollar counts’: Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon to kick off for another year

Nov 8, 2022 | 6:00 AM

Once again, your support will be needed as the Jim Pattison Hospital Foundation holds its annual radiothon.

The annual spectacle will broadcast over dozens of radio stations in Saskatchewan with all funds going to support key initiatives at the hospital.

“To purchase equipment for innovative surgeries, increased capacity of care for scoliosis patients, and provide life-saving therapies for acute kidney patients at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital,” said Hospital and Community Engagement Director Kristina Konchak.

Konchak said they are very excited to have the radiothon back for another year and said this year’s event will be made special by some local donors.

“Gord and Barb Broda from Prince Albert are going to be matching every single dollar made for the radiothon up to $150,000 so make your donation today, every dollar counts,” she said.

Listeners in Prince Albert can hear the radiothon on Power99, Beach Radio 101.5 and 900 CKBI, while it will also be carried on North Battleford stations 1050 CJNB, Q98 and 93.3 THE ROCK. Meadow Lake’s 102.3 CJNS and Missinipi Broadcasting Corp are also participating along with Fox FM and GX94 from Yorkton, as well as CJVR FM and 750 Beach Radio in Melfort.

Saskatoon listeners can hear the radiothon 600 CJWW and 96.3 CRUZ FM on both days, or 650 CKOM and C95 on Nov. 10. Regina listeners can turn the dial to 620 CKRM, Play 92.1, and 104.9 The Wolf.

You can listen to the radiothon and donate from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

You can donate by phone at 1-888-808-KIDS (5437) or go online.
