‘It was a great time’: First Annual Family Futures Street Fair a success

Aug 25, 2022 | 8:00 AM

Children and parents had the chance to visit the Family Futures street fair on Wednesday.

Along with games and prizes, a firetruck was there for the kids, along with Frozen’s Princess Elsa.

Although the fair was a success, the executive director of Family Futures Ashlee Schmidt said that the fair could’ve done better.

“We weren’t as busy as we were hoping but we still had a great turnout,” she said. “We were busy in the morning and towards the end here we picked up as well.”

In total, the fair saw around 200 people come and enjoy the many games and attractions they had to offer, such as Plinko, bouncy castles, and giant Jenga.

Aside from the attractions, one item was by far the fan favourite.

“Our taco in a bag was a huge hit,” she said. “We definitely sold over 100 of them.”
