Man in hospital after collision on Highway 2 south

Update: At 9:20a.m. Friday morning, RCMP provided further information.

One man is in hospital after a collision near St. Louis on Thursday afternoon.

At around 3:15 p.m. Parkland Ambulance and RCMP were called to the crash on Highway 2 south. Paramedics treated a man on scene before he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

According to a statement from RCMP, the initial investigation determined a truck was traveling on Highway #2 when it left the road and entered the ditch, striking several trees.

The driver of the vehicle, an adult male from Ontario was transported to hospital with unknown injuries. The roadway was closed for a period of time, but is now open.
