Ag. Society excited to bring back annual exhibition, planning to keep prices low despite economy
The Battlefords Agricultural Society is gearing up to hold its annual Northwest Territorial Days exhibition this summer.
The event will run Wednesday, Aug. 17 to Friday, Aug. 19 at the exhibition grounds in North Battleford, with the parade planned for Tuesday, Aug. 16 starting at 7 p.m.
General Manager Jocelyn Ritchie said there has been an impact on the agricultural society from the tight economy, with high prices for gas bringing its expenses up.
“Everything is more expensive for everybody unfortunately,” she said. “We’re keeping our gate prices the same as they have been for a few years; we’re not putting them up. So hopefully everybody can still come out and enjoy a really great fair this year, and the fireworks on (Aug. 19) to wrap everything up.”
