Round robin wrap up for the field lacrosse provincials

Jun 18, 2022 | 10:41 PM

All three Prince Albert Attack teams are still in the hunt at the Saskatchewan Field Lacrosse Provincials being held at Prime Ministers’ Park. Here’s how all three teams shape up heading into the final day.

19U Attack

The 19U Attack lost both of their group stage games, but their tournament is definitely not over yet. After a 12-9 defeat to the Sturgis Trojans on Friday night, the Attack narrowly lost 10-9 to the Regina Reign on Saturday night. That will set up an important game for the Attack at 11 a.m. on Sunday, in a rematch against the Reign. The winner will head to the finals to face the Trojans.

16U Attack

The 16U Attack are 2-1 after their first three games, and should they beat the Trojans at 8 a.m. on Sunday, they would be tied for the lead. The Attack beat the Reign 8-7 and the Weyburn Rattlers 16-8 on Saturday, after a 14-9 defeat to the Saskatoon Havoc on Friday.

14U Attack

The 14U Attack are cruising with a 3-0-1 record through their first four games of the provincials, already scoring 63 goals. The Attack’s wins came against the Moose Jaw Mustangs 21-9, the Yorkton Fighting Pikes 24-2 and the Havoc 8-7. Their lone draw was against the Reign, 10-10.
