Three men charged following incident on Cumberland House Cree Nation

Three men have been charged following a firearms discharge investigation that happened on Cumberland House Cree Nation on June 2.

During the investigation, RCMP found a restricted firearm and a quantity of cocaine.

Anthony Kadachuk, 24, of Cumberland House has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a restricted weapon, possessing a firearm with ammunition without a license and failing to comply with a release order.

Kadachuk will remain in custody until his next appearance in Cumberland House Provincial Court on June 14.

Bernie Kadachuk, 20, and Gage Pratt, 25, both from Cumberland House have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

During the incident, a 22-year-old-man was found and later declared dead.

Moose Jaw Police are conducting an independent, external investigation.
