High Noon Optimists Donate Funding to PA Police Association for River Runners 2022

For several years the HN Club has provided funding for the PA Police Service Association to assist in hosting the RIVER RUNNERS program.

Aimed at local youth. 13 to 18, this fun activity takes place in July. An all volunteer group of folks provide the necessary training and guidance for the attendees to enjoy a canoe / camping trip on the North Saskatchewan River from historic Fort Carlton to the City.

There is no cost to the participants for this fun filled and historic trip. Emphasis is placed on developing teamwork skills and those necessary actions to provide a meaningful / memorable experience.

The program starts with applicant applications ( details TBA ), followed with a training syllabus which includes water safety actions, first aide / CPR, proper canoe handling, camping techniques, etc. The aim is to ensure that everyone has a very enjoyable time.

Details of the application process will be forwarded from the PA Police Association in the near future.
