Prince Albert Mintos’ forward Jacob Cossette is taking his talents to Alberta.
On Tuesday, Cossette signed a letter of intent with the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Cossette led the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League with 77 points in 43 games, adding another two in three playoff games. The 18-year-old from Air Ronge also won the SMAAHL League MVP, Scoring Leader, and Top Forward awards.
He joins the Saints, who are coming off a 46-9-5 season and got to the AJHL finals. The Saints lost in the finals to the Brooks Bandits, who eventually went on to win the 2022 Centennial Cup national Junior A tournament in Estevan.
