Arrests made after Stanley Mission theft and flight from RCMP

Prince Albert RCMP have apprehended three individuals after they received a report that a vehicle, reported as stolen to Stanley Mission RCMP, was travelling in its detachment area.

The report came in in the evening of April 21 and officers located the truck in Emma Lake.

A spike belt was used to stop the vehicle and three occupants fled into a nearby wooded area. Officers from the Prince Albert RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan, North Battleford Crime Reduction Team and Police Dog Services tracked the individuals through deep snow and located and arrested two of them. The third individual was located and arrested early the following morning in Christopher Lake.

Johnathon Natomagan, 27, of Stanley Mission is charged with:

  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
  • two counts, resist/obstruct peace officer;
  • one count, flight from peace officer;
  • one count, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Natomagan will next appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on May 2 at 10 a.m.

Emile Misponas, 33, of Sucker River is charged with:

  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
  • two counts, resist/obstruct peace officer.

Misponas will next appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on May 9 at 1:30 p.m.

Kandi Ratt, 29, of Prince Albert is charged with:

  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
  • two counts, resist/obstruct peace officer.

Ratt was also arrested for breaching a previously-issued conditional sentence order and will next appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on May 2 at 9:30 a.m.
