P.A. business owner joins provincial chamber

From virtual lemonade stands as a boy to a new seat at the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, Cody Demerais is building his business connections.

Demerais, owner of Limitless Gear and Clothing, was elected to the provincial body and officially starts his three-year term on May 1.

“I’m just very grateful to find a special place on a board, especially with so many talented individuals,” said Demerais.

Demerais said he has always had a love of business and used to sneak out of his room in the wee hours to play lemonade stand on his mom’s computer.

“I would spend all hours of the night trying to find the best recipes, trying to find the best prices for running a virtual lemonade stand as a video game,” he said.

Demerais has already served some time on the Prince Albert Chamber of Commerce board and says he has learned a lot.

“Being on the Prince Albert board, I got to see quite a few different points of view and from a lot of experienced, intellectual persons,” said Demerais.

He expects the same kind of atmosphere at the provincial body.

Along with Demerais, Shawn Moen, Leanne Parson and Alicia Soulier were chosen and will be sworn into their positions on May 12, during the chamber’s annual meeting.

Demerais started his business several years ago with a physical location in the downtown area of Prince Albert.
