Mom, police seek information on missing man

UPDATE: The Prince Albert Police Service have reported as of 1:46 p.m. March 31, Budd has been located.

A distraught mother is looking for information on her missing son that she hasn’t heard from for months.

Valerie Budd said she has searched locations in Prince Albert that Jewel, 29, was known to frequent and has now reported him missing to Prince Albert Police.

“I looked for him since Wednesday of last week. I went to all the shelters and downtown,” she said.

Budd contacted paNOW on March 14, looking for assistance locating her son.

She said he was homeless and spending time in Prince Albert’s homeless shelter and downtown. Budd has talked to shelter staff who have told her they haven’t seen Jewel for a while.

Jewel lived in White Fox, which is five minutes west of Nipawin.

On March 15, PAPS issued a missing persons release for Jewel.

He is described as 5-3 and about 120 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information as to Jewel’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 306-953-4222.
