Sharks win second straight Top Small Club award at Provincials
The Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club continues to be the little club with a lot of bite. The Sharks won their second consecutive Top Small Club award at the Saskatchewan Junior A Provincial Swimming Championships, held in Moose Jaw March 3-5.
“This is the first time ever we came first in the top small club two times, back-to-back,” said Sharks head coach Hazem Hussein. “It was one of the most successful competitions in the new year.”
Another award winner from the Sharks was Myla M., who was named as Most Improved Swimmer in the girls 13-and-over category. She won two bronze medals in the 200-m butterfly and 800-m freestyle. She also made AA times in the 50-m, 200-m, 400-m and 800-m freestyle, as well as the 100-m butterfly.
Other medal winners from the Sharks were Ava H., who won silver in the 100-m freestyle and 100-m backstroke, Sophie B. won silver in the 200-m individual medley and 50-m breaststroke.
