City parts ways with Finance Director

The City has parted ways with its Director of Finance, Cheryl Tkachuk.

Mayor Greg Dionne confirmed that they are looking for a new person to take Tkachuk’s place.

“Yes, we decided to make a change with our Director of Finance. We did that last week,”

Tkachuk first took the job in May of 2018, after the departure of Steve Brown and had been working for the city for a year prior as assistant director.

Ramona Fauchoux will fill the job as acting director while the city looks for a long-term replacement.

“We’ve appointed an interim, acting, and we will soon be posting the job for anyone that’s interested,’ said Dionne.

He did not provide any details as to what led to the end of Tkachuk’s employment.
