Prince Albert volleyball teams score medals at Sask Cup

Another successful weekend on the court for Prince Albert’s city volleyball teams

The U14 Smashing Bananas won gold at their Sask Cup event in Yorkton defeating the Swift Current Junior Sundogs (Black) 25-22, 25-22 in the final.

A total of 11 teams were competing.

The Smashing Bananas Black squad finished seventh.

Meanwhile in Lloydminster, the Prince Albert Optimist Toppers En Fuego finished second at the U15 Women’s Sask Cup.

The U16 Women Sask Cup was held in Saskatoon featuring 32 teams from across the province.

The Prince Albert Optimist Toppers En Fuego team finished second, losing out to the Arcola South East Vipers in the final by scores of 25-20 and 25-22.

The U17 squad also played in Saskatoon and finished fifth in Division 2.
