Police investigating after man shot in midtown area

The Prince Albert Police Service after investigating after a man was shot at a home on the 500 block of Fifth Street East.

Police say they were called to the residence after a complaint of a shooting this morning at 5:30 a.m. Once they attended the scene they found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to Victoria Hospital by Parkland Ambulance in stable condition but was later taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

The Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team and Forensic identification unit will continue to investigate and residents will see an increased police presence in the area.

They are asking those who live in the area to check their surveillance systems between 4:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. today. If any suspicious activity appears in the footage contact the police at 306-953-4222.
