Bear murder suspect makes first court appearance
Less than a week after he was arrested in Canmore, a man charged in connection to an ongoing Prince Albert murder investigation, appeared in court.
Riley Patrick Primeau, 30, is facing a charge of second degree murder for the death of Byron Bear. The formal reading of Primeau’s charge was waived during the brief hearing Tuesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court, and the case was adjourned to March 8.
On Dec. 6 police were called to a midtown property, where a serious assault took place.
Byron Bear was reported missing the following day and his remains were found by police on Feb. 10 near Hague.
