Numerous events for P.A. residents to enjoy this Family Day long weekend

The Family Day long weekend has arrived and for those looking to get out in the community, there are plenty of events to attend.

The Prince Albert Winter Festival is just one week into the annual tradition and they’re offering an action-packed weekend.

On Saturday the Voices of the North Show will be on from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. at the Exhibition Centre. Tickets are available at Limitless Gear and are $20 for adults and $12 for those 12 and under.

On Sunday, the Beard Derby Finals take place at the P.A. Wildlife Federation at 7:00 p.m. It’s a chance for you to see who has the best beard in the north.

On Family Day, Feb. 21, families can spend the day together at Little Red River Park drinking hot chocolate and tobogganing at family sliding day from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will also be horse sleigh rides.

Another event not related to the winter festival is happening on Saturday called Honouring our Service Members. The Prince Albert Army Navy Unit 222 is holding an event at the Anavets Club at 6:00 p.m. to honour members who have serviced including army and navy veterans, correctional service employees, police officers, and firefighters.
