The 16th annual Give a Little Life Day Radiothon has come to a close and the Victoria Hospital Foundation is happy to announce a total of $351,281.68 was raised.

The 12-hour radiothon, which was broadcasted on 900 CKBI, Power99 FM and Beach Radio 101.5, raised money for urgent equipment and technology needs in the Victoria Hospital.

“We are deeply grateful to each and every person who donated both big and small, to this year’s Give a Little Life Day,” said CEO of the Victoria Hospital Foundation Sherry Buckler in a media release. “Our community is the heart of our Foundation and our donors transform healthcare at the Vic hospital every single day through their generosity. When our hospital needs help, our community responds and we thank you.”

The radiothon featured countless stories of staff working in the hospital during the pandemic and all of the money raised will stay in the community to benefit everyone.

Many people in Prince Albert and area donated online, over the phone and through the drive-thru at Mann Northway. There were several large donations including a $100,000 donation at the end of the day from Gordon and Jill Rawlinson.
