A Prince Albert man is $1 million richer thanks to the Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundations Lottery.

“What an unbelievable experience and indescribable feeling,” said Mason Ganzert after first receiving the news. “This foundation resonates within our household therefore we had to support such a great cause. Thank you so much Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation & the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation for supporting Saskatchewan and changing lives!”

The Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundations Lottery offered over 1,000 prizes, with three grand prizes including the super grand prize of $1 million.

The lottery is a partnership between the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation and Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. Funds raised go to support amateur sport, education, health and wellness initiatives for the province’s youth, as well as maternal and children’s health care at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

“Congratulations to Saskatchewan’s newest millionaire, the hundreds who won prizes, and thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket,” said Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“We are proud to have partnered with the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation; together we continue to proudly support children and youth throughout the province.”

The winner of the Halftime 50/50 draw was also announced. The jackpot reached a total of $996,110, which means L. Wilder will take home $498,055.
