Mintos continue to roll after 7-1 win over Tisdale
The Prince Albert Mintos are off to a roaring start in the month of November. In two games in the new month, the Mintos have outscored their opposition 13-2 in a pair of runaway wins. They defeated the Tisdale Trojans 7-1 on the road at the Tisdale Recplex on Saturday night, after a 6-1 road win over the Battlefords Stars on Wednesday.
A pair of Prince Albert products in Ashton Tait and Matthew Cudmore both scored two goals in Saturday’s win. Jacob Cossette had a goal and two assists, while Zach Bansley and Travis Swanson both scored in the contest.
Jayden Kraus made 26 saves on 27 shots for the victory. The Mintos improved to 9-4-1 on the season, good for fourth place in the Saskatchewan U18 AAA Hockey League standings.
The Mintos are off until Nov. 14 when they take on the Saskatoon Blazers at 2:30 p.m. on the road.
