Prince Albert police arrest man after ‘unknown 911 emergency’

Police had to use a taser on a man after responding to what they called an unknown 911 emergency Tuesday morning.

Just after 11:30 a.m., police were called to a home on 20th Street East near Fifth Ave where they found a stolen vehicle near the front door and a man trying to escape from a window.

The man resisted officers and police eventually used a taser before taking him into custody.

Germaine Michel, 29, was arrested on several outstanding warrants. He also faces numerous charges including assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
