Day 1 recap of the Mixed Provincial Open

The Brad Bibby rink from Prince Albert suffered an early defeat to start the Mont St. Joseph Foundation CurlSask 2021 Provincial Mixed Championships on Thursday.

They fell 7–3 to the Kris Keating foursome from Kronau at the Prince Albert Golf and Curling Centre.

Dean Grindheim from North Battleford picked up a couple of wins to start their tournament. They defeated Christopher Lake’s Pat Daley 8–3 in the 5:30 p.m. draw, before beating Prince Albert’s Jordon Henry 9–6.

In an all-Regina matchup, Jason Ackerman was ousted by Ben Gamble 9–4. And in a blowout that was called after just four ends, Saskatoon’s Shawn Joyce beat La Ronge’s Dwight Radloff 10–0.
