Mixed curling provincials coming to Prince Albert next week

The Mont St. Joseph Foundation 2021 CurlSask Provincial Mixed Championships are coming to the Prince Albert Golf and Curling Centre next week, Oct. 14-17 and one team from Prince Albert is coming in with a lot of confidence.

The Bibby/Thevenot team is full of talent and experience, with skip Brad Bibby, third Kara Thevenot, who is a two-time provincial women’s champion, second Steven Thevenot, and lead Patricia Bibby.

“The pandemic has been like debris under our rock but we are ready to clean house and bring our best to this competition,” Patricia Bibby said in a statement.

The Bibby and Thevenot rink will be one of nine teams fighting to represent Saskatchewan at nationals in Canmore, Alta., in November.

All curlers participating in the event must be fully vaccinated. Negative COVID-19 tests will not be accepted.
