UPDATE: As of 10:34 a.m. on Tuesday the Prince Albert Police Service has confirmed the victim of the homicide was 25-year-old John Joe Besskkatstare.

Police do not believe the victim and the two accused were known to each other and no further charges are expected.

Two individuals are being charged with second-degree murder after the body of a 25-year-old man was found in Prince Albert.

The Prince Albert Police Service was called to Second Avenue West, near South Hill Mall, around 1 a.m. on Sept. 19 and the Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Section quickly took over the investigation.

They’ve since charged 43-year-old Clarissa Campbell and 22-year-old Chandler Laliberte, both from Prince Albert.

Both made their first court appearance in Prince Albert today and will make their next on Oct. 4.

Campbell and Laliberte both remain in custody and police say they’re no longer looking for any other suspects at this time.
