RCMP investigating fatal crash on Highway 3

One man has died and another is in hospital after a crash on Highway 3 over the weekend.

On Sept. 11, around 4:50 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP responded to a crash involving a car and a truck towing a boat on a trailer near the Hamlet of Crutwell.

The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, was declared dead at the scene. His family has been notified.

The man driving the truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries while two passengers inside, both youths, were not injured.

Highway 3 was closed for about seven hours during the initial investigation.
