The Prince Albert Raiders training camp isn’t the only hockey the Art Hauser Centre is seeing this weekend.

The Flin Flon Bombers played the Kindersley Klippers in an SJHL exhibition, pre-season match on Sunday night.

Starting the game in goal today for the Klippers was Brett Sweet and for the Bombers was Jared Thompson.

After the first period, the game was tied 1-1.

Just over the halfway point of the first period, Bomber forward Nathan Gagne found the back of the net on his first shot of the game.

With just over five minutes left in the period, Klippers forward Carson Baylis tied the game up, scoring on a mad scramble right in front of the net.

The second period had many more goals in it and the Klippers led the Bombers 4-2 after 40 minutes.

Klippers forwards Logan Linklater, Ethan King, and Mason Svarich got on the scoresheet while Bombers center, Kylynn Olafson scored in the period as well.

The game finished 5-3, the first pre-season win for the Klippers.

Klippers forward, Jaxon Georget put up the fifth goal for the team while Bombers forward, Gagne scored his second of the night in the loss.

The Klippers have now played three games this pre-season. Last week they lost twice to the Battlefords North Stars.

This was the Bombers second game of the pre-season. They beat the Opaskwayak Cree Nation Blizzard on Saturday night.

The Klippers play in Nipawin on Tuesday night while the Bombers play in La Ronge on Friday.
