A manhunt that lasted the better part of a week has ended in Prince Albert.

Glen Frederick Halkett, also known as “Baby Glen”, was arrested Monday morning by the city’s police service.

The 25-year-old was sought by RCMP in connection to a vehicle theft, involving a firearm in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Buckland. The incident occurred on Aug. 11.

Halkett is also alleged to have been involved in an armed robbery that happened on the Little Red River First Nation on Aug. 7.

As part of their outreach to the media last week, RCMP indicated Halkett may have gone to the communities of Little Red River First Nation, Sturgeon Lake First Nation, Prince Albert, Shellbrook or Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation.

Police also advised that should anyone see Halkett, they should not approach him as he was considered armed and dangerous.

No details have released with respect to charges or when Halkett will appear in court.
